UPDATES: Southwark Council's investigation into a licensed shop uncovered serious licensing breaches, smuggled alcohol and workers living in exploitative conditions, leading to licence revocation and wider action against modern slavery.
The investigation discovered numerous breaches of licensing laws, as well as illegal workers being employed in conditions described by a judge as akin to "modern slavery".
