UPDATES: CTSI is encouraging businesses to join its Consumer Codes Approval Scheme, arguing that approved codes and alternative dispute resolution strengthen consumer confidence while helping firms resolve disputes without costly litigation.

The Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) is urging businesses to join its Consumer Codes Approval Scheme (CCAS), which it believes will be key to strengthening consumer confidence and protection, and avoid the costs and aggravation associated with litigation by engaging in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
