ANALYSIS: Counterfeit military medals offend more than intellectual property rights; they cheapen genuine service, enable false claims of heroism and give trading standards a role in protecting public trust.
We’ve all met them… those conflated characters whose heroic exploits defy the possible, the ex-special forces soldier who 'doesn’t like to talk about it' but will happily tell us how they wrestled a grizzly bear, led an elite band of soldiers into hostile territory, piloted a Sea Harrier and commanded a Type 42 Destroyer all before their 18<sup>th</sup> birthday…
