UPDATES: A Derbyshire farmer and butcher has been fined after failing to dispose of animal carcasses promptly, illustrating the legal responsibilities surrounding animal by-products and the public health risks of non-compliance.

Farmer Richard Hobday was fined at Northern Derbyshire Magistrates Court in Chesterfield on February 18, 2019 following a successful prosecution brought by Derbyshire County Council’s trading standards.
