UPDATES: Operation Gripped wins a CTSI Hero Award for its partnership approach to tackling illegal money lending, combining policing, trading standards and community campaigns to expose loan sharks and promote safer borrowing.
Operation Gripped, a three-way partnership formed in Summer 2018, received this year’s prestigious Outstanding Trading Standards Initiative Hero Award from the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI), for raising awareness of the perils of using loan sharks in Runcorn, Halton.
