UPDATES: An investigation into adulterated saffron uncovered large quantities of fake spice entering the UK supply chain, demonstrating the value of targeted testing and international cooperation against food fraud.
An international investigation has begun following the discovery of quantities of fake saffron being sold in West Sussex.
