UPDATES: Parents, carers and employers are being urged to check older blinds fitted before 2014, as OPSS and CTSI warn that simple devices such as cleats, tidies and tensioners can prevent child strangulation deaths.
Parents and other responsible adults in the UK are being urged to fit safety devices to their old window blinds to stop children becoming entangled in dangerous blind cords and chains.
