UPDATES: Holidaymakers facing cancelled trips and refused refunds are urged to seek specialist advice. UK ECC explains the options available when accommodation providers will not rebook or reimburse customers.
Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, many hotel and travel businesses have refused to refund holidaymakers, with some left out of pocket for large sums.
Last week a UK family who booked a £17,000 chalet in France were told that they could not rebook, or receive a refund even though they could not attend the venue due to the pandemic lockdowns in each country.
