UPDATES: CTSI urges Government action to prevent financially stretched councils from issuing emergency spending controls, warning that reduced local authority capacity could seriously affect essential trading standards services.

The Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) is asking the Government to support councils struggling to pay the bills in the wake of the COVID-19 coronavirus lockdown.
