DEVELOPMENT: This CPPD module examines the food standards implications of EU Exit, exploring import controls, WTO arrangements, border checks and the practical challenges Trading Standards professionals may face.
The UK’s exit from the EU under a so-called ‘cliff edge’ scenario could add significant costs to the food industry, the food regulation system (particularly at UK ports of entry) and ultimately to the UK consumer.
