UPDATES: A new construction regulator is being established in response to the Grenfell Inquiry, with powers intended to drive higher standards, improve accountability and restore confidence across the construction sector.
CTSI has welcomed the government’s announcement that it will establish a national regulator to ensure the materials used to build homes will be made safer.
The new regulator will have powers to remove products from the market which present significant safety risks and prosecute companies that ignore product safety rules.
