UPDATES: Operation CeCe’s first year saw NTS, HMRC, Border Force and local trading standards remove more than £7m of illegal tobacco from sale, disrupt organised crime and secure continued funding for a three-tier enforcement strategy targeting factories, borders and street-level sellers.
Operation CeCe, a joint initiative between National Trading Standards (NTS) and HMRC, has resulted in more than £7m worth of illegal tobacco products being removed from sale in its first year.
