CBD (cannabidiol) is a chemical compound extracted from cannabis. Unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the other main compound found in the cannabis plant, and the one which is responsible for the psychoactive effects (the ‘high’), CBD is not considered to be illegal under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and associated legislation.
