UPDATES: MPs, safety campaigners and industry representatives have signed a pledge to improve button battery safety, backing greater awareness, stronger product protections and coordinated action to prevent further child injuries and fatalities.
Members of Parliament, industry leaders and child protection experts gathered in Westminster yesterday (June 7) to sign a pledge to raise awareness of the risks associated with button and coin cell battery ingestion.
