UPDATES: CTSI welcomes the Government's decision to abandon the Retained EU Law sunset clause, while warning that hundreds of laws still require scrutiny to ensure vital consumer protections are not lost.
CTSI has welcomed <a href="https://questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-statements/detail/2023-05-10/HCWS764" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the decision</a> to scrap the sunset clause for most EU derived legislation, but has expressed concern at how 'close to the wire' the potential loss of vital consumer protections came.
