UPDATES: Authorities are warning consumers about misleading whisky investment promotions after the Advertising Standards Authority ruled that social media adverts overstated likely returns, downplayed risks and failed to explain charges attached to unregulated cask investments.
Misleading social media adverts for whisky investments have caught the attention of City of London Police and City of London Corporation Trading Standards, who are urging the public to beware of being duped.
