Consumer Scotland is to review consumer protection in the energy-efficiency sector

UPDATES: Consumer Scotland has begun a wide-ranging review of the domestic energy-efficiency market, seeking evidence of misleading practices, weak consumer protections and barriers to confidence as millions of homes prepare for the transition to cleaner heating.
Consumer Scotland has launched an investigation into the domestic energy-efficiency market to identify areas where consumers may be vulnerable to misleading or unfair practices.
The review by the statutory body for Scottish consumers comes as the Scottish Government announces legislation to convert around 2.4 million homes to cleaner heating systems by the end of 2045.
