UPDATES: A retailer has been fined after selling a vape to an underage customer, reinforcing the importance of age-restricted sales enforcement and retailer compliance.
A shop which sold a vape to a 13-year-old has been prosecuted and fined following an investigation by Bedford Borough Council Trading Standards.
A test purchase operation at Bedford Fruit and Vegetables Market in April 2024 resulted in the illegal sale of a single-use vape to the young volunteer.
