UPDATES: Consumers are being warned to steer clear of quick-fix weight-loss products and fake online pharmacies as Trading Standards highlights the risks posed by unproven diet scams and misleading health claims.
Staffordshire County Council Trading Standards is urging consumers to avoid quick-fix diet scams and to make sure they do their research from trusted health advice sources.
At the beginning of the year people often embark on new health and weight-loss regimes, but many of the products on offer – particularly online – are not effective and some may even do more harm than good.
