UPDATES: A landmark Trading Standards prosecution has seen five rogue letting agents jailed and banned after exploiting vulnerable tenants, exposing the scale and complexity of organised housing fraud.
Five rogue letting agents who preyed on newcomers to the UK, taking advantage of their lack of understanding of tenants’ rights to exploit them and rip them off, have received jail sentences and been banned from operating businesses in one of the longest and most complex Trading Standards prosecutions ever in the UK.
