UPDATES: New legislation banning nuisance pension cold calls aims to protect consumers from high-pressure approaches and scams, particularly where retirement savings are placed at risk by unwanted contact.
From January 9, it is illegal to make unwanted or unsolicited calls to people regarding their pensions, and offenders may face fines of up to half a million pounds.
