A fraudster in Westminster who sold pirate TV devices on eBay has been sentenced

UPDATES: A Westminster Trading Standards investigation, supported by FACT and the National Crime Agency, led to the conviction of an eBay seller who made more than £82,000 supplying illegal IPTV devices used to access subscription broadcasts and films.
Westminster City Council’s Trading Standards team, working in partnership with the Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT), has secured a prosecution against an eBay user who was selling internet protocol television (IPTV) devices online. IPTV devices enable users to access broadcasts, such as sporting events and films, which would otherwise require a paid subscription.
