'Chameleon' directors rife
Loopholes are letting people act as company directors after they have been disqualified

UPDATES: Fraudsters are circumventing director disqualifications by changing personal details and registering new companies. The emerging 'chameleon' tactic has prompted calls for stronger safeguards against repeat corporate offenders.
Research into Companies House data conducted by technology provider HooYu showed that of the 6,700 currently disqualified directors, more than 800 (one in every eight) still appear to have an active directorship.
